In the early 90’s Paul became the House Engineer at The Harp in downtown Boston and after about 2-1/2 years he took the soundman position with Clutch Grabwell and still mix them today. After a couple of shows of using equipment that was not qualified to use in some bedrooms, and the upcoming retirement of Red Line Sound, Paul made his move and bought the latest equipment from JBL, Crown, and Allen-Heath. Paul liked it so much he bought a second one and he's looking to purchase more. Paul is a Founding Partner, Producer and will be managing sound for this event.
Paul Duffley - Owner ESP Sound Systems. For Paul it all began back in the 80’s when he became a disc jockey, believe it or not! Paul loves music loud and clean. It became rather annoying when he was doing parties that had old ladies show up and they would sit right in front of the speakers, then complain that the music was too loud. After a few years of that, he gave up and started to roadie for the Catunes (a local band with a regional following). That brought him to the late 80’s when he began to work as a crew member with Red Line Sound, mixing sound and loving the quality of equipment they carried.
Holly Harris - Emcee and radio host, Holly Harris hails from a musical family. Her father and grandfather were both professional trumpet players and her Uncle Benny played saxophone with both Glenn Miller and the Gene Krupa Orchestra. At age 17 she left for Paris, and spent her Freshmen year abroad. Holly returned to graduate with a BA from Ithaca College, before moving to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music and Suffolk University for her Masters Degree in Counseling. Her radio career began at Tufts University where she hosted , ‘The Morning After Blues’, for ten years. During that time she began deejaying and emceeing at various clubs and festivals around Boston and the Northeast. Her first commercial radio show was the, ‘10 O ’Clock Rockin’ Blues’, on WCGY. During that time and for the next twenty years she often filled in for her dear friend, the late, Mai Cramer on WGBH. When WBOS called she was ready, and spent nearly 15 years on WBOS hosting and producing, ‘Blues On Sunday’. The show earned her numerous awards including the national W.C. Handy, ‘Keepin’ the Blues Alive’ , award, for Commercial Radio, in 1995, Boston Blues Society and New England Blues Society’, ‘Friend of the Blues’ awards, as well as a Proclamation from the MA House and Senate as ‘Friend of the Arts’; to name a few. She has introduced headliners and emerging artists alike, including, B.B. King, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Hubert Sumlin, Luther, ‘Guitar Jr.Johnson, Buddy Guy, James Montgomery, and many others. She is a past President of the Board of the Greater Salem Boys and Girls Club and has worked as a School Social Worker for many years. in her, ‘spare time’, she enjoys photography, dancing, and drumming. An article focusing on John Hall mentioning the New England Blues Summit (and starring Ms. Fish) got him intrigued with it and getting involved. Dave also volunteered at the North River Blues Festival and the South Shore Irish Festival in 2015.
